VOLUNTEERS
Thank You
Over the years we have had the pleasure of working with so many great people to help the pets. We cannot thank you enough for the blood, sweat, tears, and time that you put into helping pets and providing the best care or service.
Special shoutout to Norma, Evan, Jenna, Sheila, Camille, Jess, co-op students, fellow groomers/veterinary assistants, and those family members who show up at every moment.
Thank you.

Over the years, Heidi has always had a love for rats. She finally got two girls, Bates & Bashar and that only made Heidi love Rats even more. Soon after she got Walter, Lahey, Lucky & Gemma.
Lucky was a rat born with some sort of suspected neurological issue. Heidi knew he wouldn't have a long life but brought him home to have a happy short life. Gemma was the hairless rat who had poor sight but a great bite! Later came along Dijon from a rattery in the Ottawa Valley. This sparked Heidi's interest in rescuing small animals who get purchased as gifts and often forgotten or not properly taken care of. Soon after she adopted 2 rescues Zero & Riddle and the rescues didn't stop there. We now have Mama June and her babies, Frodo & Sam who were rehomed with Heidi's friend, Cashew & Raspberry for the girlies and Steve, Jerry and Moe for the boys.
Although most of these small companions are no longer with us, we still remember the fun times, the warm memories and the comfort of knowing we can give those in need the same love they received.

They are friendly, however some of the rats have been through traumatic events in which Heidi is working on rehabilitating them. Please ask Heidi before sticking fingers in cages and no feeding the animals.
